A2 Painting

This work is about remembrance and reverence to nature. Through intuitive process i am seeking a memory of the feelings of woodlands which i wander through, due to my Aphantasia in which i cannot hold a visual memory of places and people. There is a richness contained within me which endures which the act of painting is my way of reaching and creating a similar feeling which i experienced.

It begins like nature as a slow process of intuitively building the cotton rag paper with organic material , then adding feelings through paper pulp and perhaps a glimpse of section of painting from something created when i paint outside as collage. Mostly then covered in white gesso which leaves the moment of intensity of application of watercolour paint , poured in different viscosity liquid form or added direct from the tube , manipulated with my fingers or maybe a toothbrush to add density to contrast the mingling colours.

Watercolour , paper Pulp , Charcoal & Organic Material are used on A2 Cotton Rag Paper
